How does it feel to be a Jeopardy! champion?
This was unbelievable, unexpected, and, um, I'm still a little, uh, a little overwhelmed. So, um, Roger played a--a wonderful series, and, um, my hat's--my hat's off to him. So...
Were you intimidated by going up against such a strong returning champion?
Well, I mean, we've all watched him for the past--over the past week, uh, as he's, just, sort of demolished everyone, so... I mean, I knew he was a forminable--formidable opponent, um... I just wanted to play my game and try not to be intimidated, although that was--that was difficult.
Any messages to the folks back home?
I would like to thank my parents for always sort of fostering my creativity and my curiosity. Um, I've got a wonderful family who's always been very supportive. Uh, I really appreciate my boyfriend, who has put up with me from the audition until now as I've spouted off facts like, "Hey, Delaware just has three counties," so... [laughs] He's--he's been wonderful, but my family and friends have been fantastic, so... |
