Favorite anecdote associated with being on the show?
I love the fact that I now work with Ulhas Rajurkar, the returning champion that I unseated during my very first appearance on Jeopardy! With my competitive nature, I don't know if I could stand working with a daily reminder of a Jeopardy! loss. Fortunately, Ulhas has a great disposition and can stomach seeing me every day.

Did being on Jeopardy! have any effect on your life?
I wonder how anybody could possibly answer “no” to this question. Besides the obvious financial impact, my appearance on the show has confirmed my belief that great things can happen when one throws caution to the wind and says, “Why not? I'll try anything once.”

Did you do anything crazy with your winnings?
My wife, Kim, and I have mostly used the winnings to travel to places that we might never have seen otherwise. Since my first appearance, we've visited Spain, Thailand, and Chile. We would have honeymooned in Spain even if I'd never been on Jeopardy!, but we wouldn't have had nearly as much fun!

Is there anything else you would like viewers to know about you?
The worst oversight stemming from my first appearance on Jeopardy! was not making it clear that I am an Arkansas native. Nearly everyone I spoke with from Arkansas was really disappointed that I was introduced as being from Washington, D.C. My hunting buddies were especially miffed. So to clarify: I was born and raised around Pine Bluff, Arkansas and I learned everything worth knowing at the Shady Oaks Duck Club.
