My sister was watching with a group of friends, including a little boy, who was rooting “Bev! Bev! Bev!” But my sister noticed that he was rooting for one of the men on the show, and she said, “Bev is the woman!” So he ran out yelling his new cheer: “BEV IS THE WOMAN! BEV IS THE WOMAN!”

Did being on Jeopardy! have any effect on your life?
I heard from a lot of old friends.

Did you do anything crazy with your winnings?
I went to grad school and got a Ph.D. in history. I wrote a dissertation about marital desertion and bigamy in Nineteenth Century America.

Is there anything else you would like viewers to know about you?
I currently run an adult literacy program in my local public library system. We work to help adults improve their reading skills and other skills.
