What happened when you found out you were going to be a contestant?
Well, uh, it's kind of a little secret. But actually my dad left a note out and it kind of got leaked before I found out. And then, uh, the news crew surprised me in my class, and I knew that I was going on, but it was still a surprise because I had no idea about the news crew, so, uh, I was still pretty surprised when they came in and interrupted my English class.
How did your classmates react?
I think they were, uh, they were even more excited than I was. All my friends are in that class, and, uh, they were pretty much going nuts at the time.
Is there anyone you'd like to say "Hi" to?
Yeah, I'd like to say "Hi" to all my pals and my English class back in Rochester.
Are you a big Jeopardy! fan?
Definitely. I've been watching it for a while. And then, uh, on the little commercial break before Final Jeopardy! they always say if you're--they're looking for contestants. And I, uh, saw that it was for Teen Tournament, so I decided to submit my name, and that's how it happened.
What do you like to do in your free time?
Um, I like to read and play baseball and Alpine ski. So... looking forward to the season.
What are your plans for college?
Um, I'm looking at Cornell and Boston University right now.
Where do you see yourself in ten years?
I'm looking towards English or journalism or something in that field.
If you could invent a perfect Jeopardy! category, what would it be?
