If you could create your own category for Jeopardy!, what would it be?
Uh, well, a category for Jeopardy!--I would choose OBSCURE ENGINEERING FACTS, because no one else playing in College Jeopardy! is an engineer. I'm the only engineer, and therefore I think I could probably run that category.

Where do you see yourself in ten years?
Well, I'd like to actually get a Ph.D. and work in research somewhere, maybe IBM or Intel, you know, one of the large players in the, uh, technology market, and then eventually I'd like to retire somewhere warm and just teach, uh, college students.

What happened when you found out you were going to be a contestant?
Well, uh... so, it was pretty early in the morning and I was coding, and I got the phone call--it just, floored me. I was like, "Wow." 'Cause I mean, it was completely unexpected, I had no idea. Uh, when I tried out, I had a black eye! "They're never gonna pick me for this, because I got a black eye and, y'know, five stitches in my face." But, you know, I was completely amazed. Speechless.
