Students: Rock on Mrs. Collins!

How did you come to be on the Jeopardy! Teachers Tournament?
Um, I came to be on Jeopardy!, um, I took the online test, and actually I was pregnant at the time. My husband and I were both sitting there on our laptops in the living room. And, uh, before you know it, I got the e-mail to--inviting me to audition.

What are your dream categories?
Dream categories for me are definitely POP CULTURE, um, and any word-sort-of-play.

What is the most rewarding aspect of being a teacher?
The most rewarding aspect of being a teacher is just seeing the growth. Um, sometimes growth comes in spurts, and sometimes it comes in, y'know, long stream-of-process, um, and sometimes just when you get the--the burst-through of understanding, and sort of these--those a-ha moments, um, that's when it's just--it's pretty amazing.
