Doug previously appeared on Jeopardy! on show #4499, aired 2004-03-11. He was erroneously ruled incorrect on his "What is The Marriage of Figaro?" for a clue looking for The Barber of Seville. As his response fit the clue, he was subsequently invited back over a year later.

According to the official Jeopardy! web site, Doug's full first name is "Douglas".
