A junior at the University of Michigan from Okemos, Michigan...

Connie Shi

Do you think being on Jeopardy! will help you land a job?
I don't know if it will help me directly, but maybe it'll get me an interview--like, someone will look at my resume and see "Jeopardy! contestant" and invite me for an interview.

What will you do with your winnings?
With my winnings? I will probably save most of it for, uh, medical school after I graduate. Uh, maybe I'll splurge on something, I'm not sure what. We'll see.

Do you do well when you play at home?
When I play at home I generally do pretty well, but it depends. The Tournament of Champions is pretty hard.

How does it feel to be a semifinalist?
It feels really great, uh, to have won, but like you said, there are so many ways that this game could have turned out. Um, it was really surprising to have won, and, um, my other contest--the other contestants were really great, and it was a great game.

Tell us about your strategy.
Get as many questions right as possible was the strategy that I used. Um, with the Final Jeopardy! I--I know a lot about literature, so I guess I was more confident with that one.

Any shout outs to your friends and family back home?
Hi to all my friends, and, uh, of course family, and hi to all my fellow Wolverines.

Anyone you'd like to thank?
I'd like to thank my parents, of course, for their support, and I'd like to thank all the crew here at Jeopardy! for making this a really good experience.

How did you prepare for the College Championship?
I prepared for today by reading up on some topics that I don't know that much about, and watching, uh, some extra Jeopardy! episodes.
