A middle school history teacher from Santa Monica, California...

Dan Crosby

Students: "Mr. Crosby's the best!"

I'm Dan Crosby, I teach at Maimonides Academy, and I teach seventh and eighth grade history.

Will the subject you teach help you on Jeopardy!?
Well, when you learn history, it--it can't--it can't but help you on Jeopardy!, 'cause learning history is just a collection of everything, it's art, it's music, it's politics, it's everything humans have done. So, I hope it helps.

Are your students fans of the show?
Well, they are now! When I tried out a year or so ago, I know a lot of them started watching, and particularly when Watson was on, that really sparked a lot of their interest.

Any messages for your students?
I'd say, "Thank you for your support, and I hope I do you proud."

What do you love most about Jeopardy!?
I think what I enjoy most is the broad base of stuff that's covered every single day, that you have no idea what's coming until it shows up, and it's just rapid fire recall, and I really enjoy that.

Tune in! You might learn a thing or two!

"He teaches at a school named for a renowned scholar, doctor, philosopher, and rabbi. From Santa Monica, California, say hi to..."
