How does it feel to be the new Jeopardy! champion?
What it feels like to be a Jeopardy! champion--um, I don't know. It's--it's unbelievable right now. It's like a dream come true. I've been, uh, thinking of this day for a long time, and, uh, I-I can't believe it actually happened. Pretty excited.
How did you prepare for your appearance on Jeopardy!?
I've been spending a lot of time, uh... standing behind my La-Z-Boy with a pen, going like this [twitches buzzer thumb] and driving my wife crazy. And, uh, you only got the kids to get out of the way of the TV, uh, so I can play, so, uh, I figured I--y'know, with the distractions, it would help, 'cause here it's a lot quieter, so, uh, I said, y'know, "Be as noisy as you want", so...
Any messages to the folks back home?
Um, well, I want to thank, uh, my wife and, uh, my friend Carl for being here today, supporting me, and I want to thank all the, uh, my friends over at McMullan's Irish Pub, and, uh--for all the trivia nights--and I want to thank all the teachers and friends, uh, over at Imagine School in Las Vegas. |
