How does it feel to be the new Jeopardy! champion?
It feels really great to be a Jeopardy! champion. I'm happy now that when people Google my name, uh, y'know, it'll come up in the J! Archive there, that little thumbnail of me, so... that's pretty exciting.
How did you prepare for your appearance on Jeopardy!?
Um, I bought--I--to prepare for Jeopardy!, I went out and bought a, uh, a, uh, Rand McNally student atlas, to make sure I knew where every country was, because it's been a while since, uh, tenth grade geography, so... and I spent a lot of time on Wikipedia.
Any messages to the folks back home?
I do, yeah. I'd love to thank my mom and dad, who are here, who made me study every day, and my Uncle Rick and Aunt Leeann, was actually my, uh, ninth-grade English teacher, so everything that I know about lit probably comes from him. Um, all the coworkers back at my office. I'm actually probably the fourth or fifth best trivia person in the office, so those guys are really great. Um... And my girlfriend Annie, who put up with me for the three weeks that I knew I was coming on D.C., so... |
