Hey Central Coast, I'm Bob Kennedy from Santa Barbara, the American Riviera. Watch me outclass the competition on Jeopardy!

Do you have any goals as a Jeopardy! champion?
Uh, I had one goal. I had to--I wanted to win at least one show. I wanted to be able to show that I can do it. I wanted to have fun, too, and it was definitely a lot of fun.
Any messages to the folks back home?
I would love to thank my wife, Robin, and my baby daughter, Skyler, who are home right now, um, rooting me on, and they've both been really supportive in this--in this, uh, trek--quest.

How does it feel to win your second game?
Well, it feels twice as good to be a 2-time champion than it does to be a single-time champion, that's for sure.
Was there a turning point for you?
You know, what was really interesting during this game--I--I kind of lost track of the score, like I wasn't really paying attention to the scoreboard until maybe the last, maybe, couple minutes of Double Jeopardy!, and by then I'd--I'd looked up and I was pleased with what I saw.
Did you guess during Final Jeopardy!?
Uh, for Final Jeopardy!, the answer was Mona Lisa, but there was a clue--there was a, uh, a piece in the clue that mentioned the alternate name of the painting meaning, uh, "cheerful", and I knew that, uh, pretty quickly just 'cause for some reason I'm very familiar with the English word, uh, "jocund". |
