How did you react when you were selected for the College Championship?
Actually, I had a really interesting reaction. I was in a cab in Chicago, where I'm from, and I had--my cab--my cab driver was wondering what I was freaking out about--because I read it on my iPhone--and he said--and I was like, "I'm in Jeopardy! I'm in Jeopardy!" And he went--mistook that as for being in danger, like, he thought my life was in jeopardy. And it was really f--and then when I got out of the cab, I was wondering why he didn't respond the way I thought he would, and then I realized he thought I was in, like, mortal danger, so...
What will you do with your winnings?
I plan to use the money for travel, um, to maybe pay for my family to go to visit my sister in Australia--she lives in Sydney--and, um, yeah, just to have fun and maybe do, like, a crazy spring break with my friends before I graduate this year.
Are you going to put "Jeopardy! contestant" on your resume?
Yes, I will be. I think it's--it's cool because it's a show that you can, like, have analytical skills, can think quickly on your feet, and like to have fun.
What do you hope to take away from this experience, other than money?
I hope to take away fun memories. This has been something I've wanted since I was a little girl, watching Jeopardy! and playing, like, Jeopardy! on, like, com--like, computers that aren't even around anymore. So, I'm really excited to be here.
Where do you hope to be in ten years?
In ten years, I hope to see myself as a--a kind of established entrepreneur. I'm really interested in that. I'm hoping to do something involving social change and, yeah, just being a role model in the community, so... |
