How does it feel to be the new Jeopardy! champion?
It is absolute surreal. I am having such a good time. I have always loved Jeopardy! as long as I can remember, uh, I'd like to thank my parents, they've always loved Jeopardy! also, and I'd also like to thank Mrs. Cottingham, who was my tenth grade teacher at Lake Howell High School in Winter Park, Florida. She rocks! [Gives double thumbs-up]
How did you prepare for your appearance on Jeopardy!?
Actually, I downloaded the j--the Jeopardy! app on--for my iPhone. And I just--when I couldn't sleep at night, I would lay there, and I would just answer as many questions as I possibly could.
Did you guess during Final Jeopardy!?
At first I was a little unsure. But then I realized, you know, I have nothing to lose, I've had a great time, so I just--just did what I needed to do. ... [edit] I was in marching band, so I knew a lot of Sousa. [Laughs] |
