A senior from Dartmouth College...

Ashley Walker

Where do you see yourself in ten years?
In ten years I'd like to be working for an international humanitarian group. Uh, something like human rights or civil liberties really appeals to me in terms of what I'd like to work for. And I'm interested in Middle Eastern affairs, primarily.

Do you think your major will give you an advantage in the college championship?
It depends. I guess English literature always helps in terms of--of books and categories, but it just depends on what comes up. With Arabic, I've studied the Middle East a little bit, so hopefully that will be something else that might come up.

What would be your dream category?
I suppose ASHLEY'S FAVORITE THINGS for $200 would be great. [Giggles] My own favorite categories. But, no, I'd like to, I guess, um, anything with literature, anything with, um, Arabic words would be really cool.

How did you react when you were selected to be on the Jeopardy! College Championship?
I was really excited. I was actually studying for final exams when I got the call, and so I--I sort of listened to my voicemail, and then I jumped um, and I was in the library, and I had to leave to go outside to--to call back, and [giggles] I was really excited, but then I had to get back in final exam mode. Show your school spirit and tune in!
