A 12-year-old sixth grader from Cliffwood, New Jersey...

Tim Koch

What happened when you found out you were going to be a contestant?
Well I was actually at my friends' house, and I was staying over their house for the night, but then my brother called my friends' house and he said that I was on, so I was kind of like, freaking out, because it was really, I was actually very happy, because I got to go to California, and I've never been there before, so it was really cool.

What categories do you hope to see on the board?
I'm hoping for categories in quotation marks, sport stars, and stuff like that. Actors, actresses, music.

How did you prepare for today?
Well, I really thought that this trip was more to have fun and a good experience rather than win $10,000 or over. I just--I'm happy to be here.
