Has appearing on Jeopardy! changed your life?
Well, it's gotten me at least one job, although for the most part I've been very modest about it. Although once when I was working at the Texas A&M radio station, someone once came in to find “that Jeopardy! kid” and get his autograph! (P.S. Flattery will get you everywhere with me.)
My Jeopardy! Shopping Spree, Or: The Things You Can Have Dipped In Gold
For the most part, I was pretty judicious with my money--I bought some new clothes, a new computer, some books, and my family and I went on a nice vacation to New York City. But I have to admit, my secret passion was unleashed: 60s rock vinyl. I hit just about every old record store in Houston, collecting Bob Dylan, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Velvet Underground, and The Beach Boys. All in all, I spent almost $3,000 on records!
Anything else you would like the viewers to know about you?
I just want to say that I love my fiancée Courtney Carpenter, who has put up with my insufferable love of trivia for 6 years, and thanks to everyone who watches for keeping such a fun and riveting program on the air. Here's to 21 more years! (Seriously. I could make a living out of this.) |
