The issue was not discovered until late in the round, when Butch was unable to ring in for a rebound after the two other contestants had already delivered incorrect responses. There was a long tape delay for replacing the round, and then another long tape delay between the end of the replacement round and Final Jeopardy! while researchers in L.A. determined whether or not Josh's response of "husky" for Balto's breed was acceptable.
