Where do you see yourself in ten years?
In ten years, I see myself probably living in Europe... because I love to travel, and I really wanna live over there somewhere.
How did you prepare for today's show?
I prepared for Jeopardy! by studying a lot of lists, and I just kinda went to my quizbowl practices and that kinda prepared me a little, but I didn't do too much overall.
How did your parents help you prepare for the show?
My parents, um--my mom pushed me a little bit more to study than I would have on my own, and I guess I'm grateful for that because I--y'know, I would kinda put it off and I wasn't really wanting to face it--"Oh, my gosh, I gotta study, I'm going to be on Jeopardy!" But, um, my parents have been supportive, and they love me no matter what, so...
What are you most excited about today?
The most exciting thing is getting the opportunity to appear, 'cause I mean, I'm one of 15 chosen from throughout the nation. It's just really exciting experience, and it's gonna be fun.
What are some of your favorite activities?
Some of my other favorite activities are, um... I'm in marching band, and I love marching band, and I'm in quizbowl--I'm on my school's academic team, the "Academic Ambush". And, um, I like to--I love to go practice and participate in that. And I love to play piano. |

Rachel played the quarterfinal and semifinal rounds as "Rachel", but played the final round as "Steve" to avoid a naming conflict with co-finalist Rachel Horn. She was announced as "Rachel Cooke" at the top of the show for her first two games but was announced as "Rachel 'Steve' Cooke" for the finals. She explained the nickname as one acquired at school and used by her friends from marching band and quizbowl. |
