How did you audition for the show?
I did the online quiz. Kind of as a joke. My Latin teacher and my dad signed me up. 'Cause my Latin teacher was on Jeopardy! probably 15 years ago. Then I got a callback, and conveniently the audition was at the Waldorf in the city, so that was pretty easy. And then I got a call in early December that I was on the show for the second session, so that was really exciting.
Did your Latin teacher give you any advice?
My former, uh, Latin teacher, she said, "Just stay calm, listen to the world around you, because you don't know how much you'll learn," because right before she went on for her audition, she learned that Lake Baikal was the deepest lake in Russia. That actually was one of the questions. So she said, "Just listen to the world around you and you'll be great."
What are you most excited about?
I'm most excited about meeting Alex. I watched a lot of SNL Celebrity Jeopardy! and to meet the real man is gonna be fun.
How many shamrocks do you have on?
I got, uh... [counts, starting with her necklaces] one, two... three... [her waist] I got a whole lot on the belt. I probably got one on here [hand charm]. So plenty o'--plenty o' shamrocks, but, I'm not Irish at all, which is kinda funny, but, yeah. Always need a lot o' luck. It was a .4% chance I'd get on the show, so, yeah... could use a lot o' luck. |
