How did you find out you'd be on Jeopardy!?
Uhh... it was incredible. Um, my grandma was staying with us at the time, and apparently they couldn't--my parents knew, and they couldn't tell me for a week. My grandma knew, and she's not very good at keeping secrets, so, uh, it was a real test for her, but then when they finally told me, uh, it was just unbelievable. I--I--I know I yelled, probably, and ran around the house, and, uh, then got out the, uh, got out the book of family names and started calling different people.
How has this experience been so far?
Just unbelievable, I don't--I just want it to keep going forever and ever, it's been amazing. Traveling out here, and... just wonderful.
What will you do with your winnings?
Well, uh, there's the obvious idea of college, but I'm thinkin' maybe I can, uh, swing a scholarship, and, uh, spend the money to, uh, travel. Uh, my dad and are are big--big golfers, and, uh, I'll drag my mom along for the ride if we, uh, could get to Ireland or Scotland or England and play some of the old courses.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
10 years from now, uh, I'd like to be living in a big city. Um, probably on the East Coast, 'cause that's where I've lived forever, and, uh, I'd like to be, uh, working in a--in an office where there's lots going on in relation to the world. I'd like to study international relations, and I don't know if I'll still be in college at that point--probably, but, uh... If not, I'd like to be maybe on Capitol Hill, or, uh, working for the State Department. Uh, probably a little too early to be, uh, Secretary of State at that point, but, y'know... |
