What advice did your friends and family give you?
Uh, my friends told me to win, and I was just like, "Thanks. ...How?" But, no. Um, they didn't give me any way to win. They just said, "Win." Um, my family, they--they just said to have fun. And that's really important. I'm gonna have fun.
How did you prepare for the show?
I read a lot. And, um, for awhile, I watched Jeopardy! every day, of course.
Which categories do you hope to see?
Any--anything literature. GEOGRAPHY. WORLD CAPITALS. Um, CLASSIC MOVIES. Like, like, The Princess Bride. I'm really hoping for a Princess Bride question. And... pretty much anything. I haven't taken chemistry yet, but I made sure I knew chemistry. I haven't taken bio yet, 'cause I'm a freshman, but I made sure I knew that, so I'm pretty good.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
10 years is a really long time, but, um, I'll--might be--maybe in graduate school, or, working for a newspaper, a major newspaper, or, writing--writing other things, I don't know. It's still kind of unclear, 10 years in the future, especially when 10 years is already more than half of my life so far.
Would you like to send a message to anyone at home?
[Counts off on fingers] My fifth grade teacher, my third grade teacher, and my kindergarden teacher, and all my friends at school, and my family and my grandparents, and that's--that's all I'm going to thank, for now. There's more, but they'll have to be mad at me. |
