A senior from Overland Park, Kansas...

Heidi Fogle

How did you find out you'd be on Jeopardy!?
I found out, um--it wasn't very special--it was just my mom telling me. They called her a few days before she could tell me, 'cause the TV--apparently some s--TV stations ambushed you, but mine didn't.

What makes a great Jeopardy! contestant?
Um, definitely a wide range of knowledge is important, and also quick recognition of that knowledge, 'cause it's--it goes really fast, and you have to know that you know something, I guess.

What are your favorite subjects in school?
My favorite subject is probably science, any type of science. Um, I like biology a lot. I think that's been my favorite class.

What are you going to do with the winnings?
With my winnings, I would like to take a trip to Hawaii where there's an international synchronized swimming meet, which I compete in. And then I'd like to save some of it for college also.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Um, in ten years I hope to be doing some kind of scientific work, hopefully environmental science or neuroscience--I haven't decided yet. And, um, hopefully still involved with synchronized swimming somehow.
