James Denton

Currently starring as Mike Delfino in the Golden Globe and SAG Award-winning Desperate Housewives, James Denton attended college on a basketball scholarship. It wasn't until he was 28 that Mr. Denton seriously pursued acting, first landing the role of George Gibbs in Our Town in his hometown of Nashville.

After moving to Chicago, he performed in numerous theatrical roles, and was soon accepted as one of Chicago's brightest stars. He was cast in the series The Untouchables, and was in such films as Primary Colors, Face/Off, and That Old Feeling. Fans of the popular NBC show The Pretender will remember him as the eerily psychopathic Mr. Lyle. In 2006, he hosted The Miss America Pageant, and he recently completed filming Wanted: Undead or Alive. Mr. Denton's winnings will be split between Peyton Manning's PeyBack Foundation, which assists programs that provide leadership and growth opportunities for children at risk, and Mothers Against Cancer benefiting the Texas Children's Cancer Center.
