What happened when you found out you were going to be a contestant?
This was actually the second time I had tried out to be on Jeopardy!--the first time I drove to Indianapolis but I wasn't picked. And when and I tried out this time, we drove up to Chicago, up to Navy Pier, which was only about an hour from my house, so it wasn't too big of a deal. And I felt really confident when I came out of there that I had done well. And they said to expect a response in November. And, the beginning of October I got the letter, and my dad had actually come home early because we were going to go golfing, because it was the day before my golf regionals and I needed practice. And he showed me a few envelopes--I asked him what I'd gotten in the mail--and he said, "Well, you got an application from this college, and from this college... and you got a letter from Jeopardy!" And I just started screaming and went crazy. And called every single member of my family.
What are you most excited about today?
I'm really excited about meeting Alex, and also winning money, because money is good!
What will do you with the money you win?
College. Because is college is very, very expensive for me, and I'm planning on going to an expensive college. I'm thinking about the University of Chicago or possibly the College of William and Mary.
Where do you see yourself in ten years?
In ten years, I'll probably still be in school, because I am planning on being a college professor in history, but I might be taking some time off do to archaeology.
Do you have a particular role model?
I try to be like Audrey Hepburn, because she's one of my favorite actresses, and I just like to be graceful, and intelligent, and as cute as she is. |
