from Poway, California...

Michela Rodriguez

Hey, San Diego. I'm Michela Rodriguez from Poway. Be sure to watch me on Jeopardy!'s Back to School Week.

How did you prepare for the show?
Um, I did a lot of studying. I rea--uh, I looked over atlases, and bought little study guides, and I prepared at least a half an hour every day, and looked over thing--I didn't stress out a lot, 'cause I knew that no matter what it would be a lot of fun, but I did learn a lot of stuff studying.

What is your favorite subject?
Um, I really like to do math--math's one of my favorite subjects--and I also like reading and writing. Uh, I love to write and read. Um, reading is a lot of fun. I love to explore the books, and writing is--is kind of like creating my own story: if I don't like something in my reading, I can make it my own.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Um, in ten years, I think I'd like to be... graduating--well, not graduating yet, but I'd be at Stanford, hopefully, and preparing to write a book.
