Hi, I'm Tony Nagatani, I'm from Ithaca College, and you're watching me on jeopardy.com.
What's your major?
Uh, my major is cinema and photography, with a concentration in cinema production and a minor in screenwriting. And hopefully with the education that I get at Ithaca College I'll be able to, y'know, be a, someday a big hotshot film director/editor kinda guy.
How did you prepare for today's game?
You know, a lot of people have been coming up and asking me if I've done anything special to prepare for Jeopardy!, and I keep telling them, it's not really something you can study for. I mean, they--they give you so much information on the categories already. There's, y'know, two clues in every--in every question. But, uh, y'know, I mean the only thing I've been doing is try to, like, live life more to the fullest, 'cause that's the way I feel is best way to prepare for any kind of trivia thing, y'know, just to be aware of things more.
How did you find out you were chosen as a contestant?
It's kinda funny. Luh--they stuh--uh--there's a really funny story about how I got selected to be on, uh, Jeopardy! I mean, y'know, obviously I went to the auditions like everybody else, but, and they told me that in the first week of September I'd be getting a FedEx package. Well, I'm sitting there in the first week of September, and it was Wednesday, and that's when I have late class, so I was sleeping in. And there's a knock on my window. And it's the FedEx guy, and I was absolutely, like, livid. I was like "WHY ARE YOU WAKING ME UP? WHY WHY WHY?" I go out there, he hands me the package, and he goes, "I think you're going to be on Jeopardy!" And so I was like, "Oh, thanks very much," y'know. It was really just kinda funny.
