What categories are you hoping for? The categories I guess I'm hoping for are, um, ARTS, GEOGRAPHY, HISTORY, THEATER. Um... That would pretty much, uh, be good for me! What do you plan to do with the money this time around? Well, uh... Plans with the money are various. Um, I just got engaged, so, uh, um, my fiancée, who's also a Jeopardy! coach, I was, uh, motivating her, um, saying there'll, uh, be more karats the more she coaches me. So, um, there's going to be a ring purchase down the line. And, uh, after the wedding we're planning a dream honeymoon to New Zealand. What was your favorite aspect of playing Jeopardy!? My favorite aspect of playing Jeopardy! is, um, probably winning. How did you prepare for this Tournament? I guess I was lucky in preparing for the Tournament in that I had a great coach: Miss Natalie Cross from Lafayette, Louisiana, um, who, uh, quizzed me a lot, and, uh, played the shows with me, so I was, uh, I was very fortunate to have a lot of support there.
2006 Tournament of Champions wildcard semifinalist: $10,000. Season 22 5-time champion: $68,599 + $2,000. Last name pronounced like "MESS-ko". Bob died at the age of 49 on 2012-11-16, after battling cancer, including two stem-cell transplants for both lymphoma and leukemia.
