A junior at the University of Missouri from Kansas City, Missouri...

Larry Marshall

How did you prepare for today?
This is one of those things that I feel that you can't prepare for. I mean, you just kinda use your base of knowledge that you already have. Uh, more or less, just did my homework, and so whatever questions may arise from those, I'll just take those as they come.

What happened when you found out you were going to be a contestant?
What happened when I found out I was going to be on the show? I was um, I was just sitting in my room kicking the breeze on a Saturday. You know, everybody was at the football game. And, um, I get a call from my mom, and she was all like, "Are you sitting down?" And I'm like, "Yeah," you know, because I was at my computer. And she was like, "You're going to be on Jeopardy!." And I'm like, "You're kidding!" [laughs]--you know, because I kinda, I kinda figured it's, like, it's September, you know, they usually do this in the fall, so it's probably done, but... I just kind of--I just kind of went crazy, you know, on a characteristic, you know, ranting, screaming, blah blah blah, but, it was pretty good.

Where do you see yourself in ten years?
In ten years, I see myself established as a writer from--for some publication--I have no idea which one, I mean, only time will tell that--but, I hope to have a column--I hope to be established, I should say--and, um, just... hope to have started writing on my novel.
