What happened when you found out you were going to be a contestant?
Oh, this is actually a very funny story. When I first found out that I was on the show, I found out from a call from FedEx that said they had a very strange address on this package. It had a Morgantown ZIP code, but a Clarksburg, like, city thing, so they didn't know what to do with it. And I was like, I couldn't remember my address at the audition, so I had just written something down, and luckily my father worked in Bridgeport, and he came and picked up the packet, and then he called me--he called my grandmother first. I had to wait like twenty minutes, and then I found out I was on the show, and I literally danced around my apartment for a little while--it was so exciting!
What did you do to prepare for today?
I just relaxed, actually. I didn't tell anybody I was on the show--except for my professors because I needed to get excuses from some of the midterms and things like that--so I've just been relaxing. I maybe watched the show a little bit. Um, it's basically been just me getting mentally prepared as far as like, relaxed, and so I could have fun and not be a nervous wreck at this.
If you could create your own Jeopardy! category, what would it be?
If I could create a category for myself, I'm guessing it would probably be, like, CULT TV CLASSICS, 'cause I absolutely love shows like Twin Peaks and X-Files and all of those. So, I could probably sweep that category fairly easily. |
