Hi, I'm Mysti, and--from Boston University, and you're watching me on jeopardy.com.
How did you find out you were chosen as a contestant?
I found out I was selected by a contestant when I received a notification in my mailbox in my dorm that I had a FedEx package, and actually, I thought it was a sweepstakes win--my mom sweepstakeses as a hobby--and had been entering me heavily in this one sweepstakes only open to Boston residents, and so that's what I thought it was. But when I picked it up, I saw the return address was from Jeopardy!, and kind of went into a small state of shock. [Laughs]
Do you ever play JEOPARDY! online?
I sometimes play Jeopardy! online, yes.
What's your major?
At Boston University, I'm doing a dual degree with political science and print journalism, and one day I hope to become the White House Press Secretary.
How did you prepare for today's game?
To prepare for today's game, I made two study guides: one is of composers, um, just the three major movements (Baroque, Classical and Romantic) and a couple of major composers from each, because even though I played clarinet for nine years, I don't know anything about composers, so I just learned the basic facts of them--y'know, nationality and works, and then I also made a quick study guide of some of Shakespeare's major plays (like Macbeth) that I've never read.
