What happened when you found out you were going to be on the show?
I was really excited. Maybe a little anxious, I guess, because I knew I had to prepare for it. It was going to be big. I was just really excited. I was jumping up and down and stuff.
What did you do to prepare for today?
I read books. I took quizzes like, from the library, and half-price bookstores I bought books, you know, read them. My dad helped me: he quizzed me. Like, they have BrainQuest quiz cards, all those things. And anything we could find over the internet. Stuff. And that's basically about it.
What do you think makes a great Jeopardy! player?
They--I think they have to be knowing--they have to know everything--a lot--and they also have to be good at the buzzer. And I think they should be, like, not so serious, you know, have fun, like, this is just, a game. Like that.
Do you have a favorite Jeopardy! player or anyone you look up to?
I don't know. I think--everybody--you know?--on there, because it takes a lot to be on the show. So everybody on there is basically my idol.
Do you have any personal heroes or anyone you look up to?
Yeah, my dad. And my mom. Of course. 'Cause my dad, he's so smart, and he's really supportive. My mom, he--uh, she--she like, helps me with things and she gives me moral support.
Is there anyone you'd like to say "hi" to?
Hi Mom and Dad!
What will you do with the money if you win big?
I'm going to go to Washington, D.C., and go to the Library of Congress, and--because I've heard the smallest book in the world is there. I'm going to look for that, you know. So that's what I'm going to do with the money.
Where do you see yourself ten years from now?
Well, at 22 I... I think I'll still be in medical school because I want to be a surgeon. And... I'd be working hard! Yeah! |
