A freelance writer and student from Los Angeles, California...

Anne Boyd

Are you excited to be back on the show?
It feels pretty great. After being a Jeopardy! champion, I think everything after that is just gravy, so having a chance to come back and play again is, is an extra priviledge.

How much money did you win last time?
I won $86,600 in five shows.

What did you do with your winnings?
Oh, gosh, I don't know. I was already planning to do some travelling and, uh, I
guess if I win a big bunch of money I can travel the world. For years, if I want to.

How did you prepare for the tournament?
Well, I think there are so many different kinds of facts that they ask you about that it's really impossible to study everything that you might want to know, so I think the main thing is staying loose and staying alert, and getting plenty of sleep, and just being ready to play, because you never know what's going to come up.

Are you ready for the game?
Ready as I'll ever be!

Tune in for Tournament of Champions on Jeopardy!

2004 Tournament of Champions semifinalist: $10,000.
Season 20 4-time champion: $84,600 + $2,000.

Accumulated a 5-game total of $86,600 ($84,600 over 4 wins and $2,000 in a second-place finish on Monday, 2004-05-31) to become the top female non-tournament money-winner. This record was broken by Kerry Breitenbach's 5-time cash winnings total of $90,400 plus $2,000 for a second-place finish in her sixth game on Friday, 2005-01-07.

Namesake for Boyd's Rule.

Anne's husband won on Rock & Roll Jeopardy!

Not to be confused with the Anne Boyd who won $100,000 on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire on 2007-11-19 upon being brought back to the show after a faulty question in her first appearance.
